Jefferson & SW 5th at Midnight

Last Wednesday night, Zack wanted to take some panorama (you should all check out his amazing panoramas)   night shots downtown and
I decided to join him to do a little night shooting of my own.
This was between 11:30 pm-12:30 am.

Portland is such a clean city, that city workers powerwash the streets at night!

And make sure the max stations are looking good.

I love the city at night. It's so beautiful.

The weekend when friends came to visit!

Well I had a very nice weekend. (I do realize it is Thursday, and now closer to the up and
coming weekend, but I am referring to last weekend.)
A bunch of Zack's good friends from forever ago, took a road trip up here from Chico, CA to hang out for the weekend! AND it just so happened that my BFF LPizza (El Pea, LP, Parker, etc.) flew up for a visit on the same weekend! Needless to say, it was pretty eventful. But even before last weekend, Hayley and her Deutsch (German) man candy came to visit!
So it was lovely to have them as our first official guests in our quaint little house. I don't have very many pictures of the visit, as it was quite short, but if you check out Hay's blog (click on her name above) she has many lovely ones from the visit!

Anyways, last weekend. It was so great to see friends and just hang out with my bestie and be girls and do girl things and to have a friend other than Zack.

 She is all woman.

Parker's dad took these for us. Awesome right?

Later in this night, we went to see the band St. Vincent at the Crystal Ballroom just a 10 minute walk from my house. PRIME! The concert was amazing, as was the venue. It was on the third floor of this old vintage charm building. Truly a magical experience, and that woman can rock while singing like a being not of this planet. Unfortunately, I am really short soo concerts are a bit difficult for people of my stature and I sadly could not see enough to get a decent photo, but the blurry ones aren't too bad.
 She's glowing
 So freaking gorgeous in there.

There were really beautiful paintings all around the room in these circles, and Parker and I both loved this one. Again, apologies for the poor quality.
I had a wonderful evening.
As well as a wonderful weekend, and can't wait til the next visitors come on by!
Next post will be a look into the city at night, around midnight on a Wednesday.
Should be getting a new roll developed soon too!
My favorite Jewels and I've had that brush for like seven years- no joke.
Goes to show how much I brush my hair...

Have a beautiful day.

Oktober?

This post doesn't really have a point. I just felt like posting some recent Fotos and jib-jabbing, while not doing homework.
Today was another beautiful day in Portland, and it should stay that way for the whole week! I was getting used to the rain and clouds, but I am not complaining.
PSU offers tons of free group exercise classes, so I finally went to a Yoga class this morning! It was only 'Gentle Yoga' but it felt good to stretch again and balance my body. I plan on continuing with the classes, since they offer a lot and on everyday of the week.
I had a crazy weekend with lots of friends visiting (including my BFF!), but I'll talk about that another time.
Maybe I was bored and was having too much fun with Picnik's Halloween stickers...
Again, having fun with Picnik effects.

I got a pair of hair cutting scissors to keep my bangs trimmed up, and Zack let me cut his hair. It was pretty fun. He then went and got a lovely buzz cut at this super awesome barber shop in the Pearl.........
This is where we sleep. The wall has expanded greatly already.
Yeah, a typical evening watching Archer and drinking some vino.

P.S. Listen to this band & watch this video

Guess I didn't need to wear these rainboots...
Pardon my droid pics.
Hope your day is beautiful! Xxx

Forgotten Fotos

I was totally planning on posting these photos daaaaaaaays ago, and then I forgot. I of course don't want all you devoted readers to miss out on these gems, so here are some B&W shots from my photo class.

This effect was created with a process called Sabattier. It's done in the dark room and you're basically just shooting the print with light before it's fully developed. It's a pretty trial and error process, but I got this one with the 2nd try! SCORE.

Some photos I never had time to enlarge, I really want to some day though.
