Roll of film Wednesday? /// Part one

Sorry It's been a while since the last post, But I just
haven't had any material that I've felt strongly about to post.
Life has been way too busy for my liking, with school or work
every single day of the week, which = NO BREAK FOR JACKIE.
Midterms are also on Friday (February 10th, yes one day from now,
why am I wasting time on here and not writing those essays, I DON'T KNOW!)
Anyways, I really love this latest roll of film (sound familiar?).
We had some rare sunshine, which always makes for good photos.
My insufficient camera (Canon T50) messed up this roll while I was
rewinding it, and I accidentally exposed the first part of the film
but I actually really like the way it turned out!
Also, I decided to break this into two post so I don't
"shoot my wad" in one go. :)

This was a self timer one, and Tobin would have been on the left that is now the white blob and black rectangle.  We were waiting for the MAX (light rail).

Obviously this was one of those "messed up ones" but it actually turned out to be one of my favorites of the roll! Cool colors and composition, with no editing needed!

Burnside Bridge

This is the Burnside skate park. It was built by local skaters in the 90's and totally funded by the community and donations. It's located under the Burnside Bridge.

That one time when it snowed... looking through the window on the 2nd story of a building on campus.

A typical view on my walk home from school, it was raining and I was trying to capture the rain, but that didn't work out too well.

Jefferson & SW 5th at Midnight

Last Wednesday night, Zack wanted to take some panorama (you should all check out his amazing panoramas)   night shots downtown and
I decided to join him to do a little night shooting of my own.
This was between 11:30 pm-12:30 am.

Portland is such a clean city, that city workers powerwash the streets at night!

And make sure the max stations are looking good.

I love the city at night. It's so beautiful.

Portland: In der Stadt

SO I've officially been here [Portland] for about 2.5 weeks! Needless to say, it's awesome/amazing/wonderful/fun/cool/so good!!! Yes I am pretty stoked to be living in such a unique and cool city. Here's what I've been seeing and experiencing lately!

The first week here a music fest called Music Fest North West [MFNW] going on so there were lots of shows, and this particular one was free! We saw the electro DJ's MSTRKFT. Really fun show and really schweaty.

RICE PUDDING!!! They have an entire rice pudding store. Like ice cream, but rice pudding...

Food Carts= Best food for the least amount of money and a big amount of food.

One of the many reasons why I love Portland is everyone's creativity. There is art all around the city. These pictures below are of art projects by students at the Pacific Northwest College of the Arts that are displayed in a shop window for all to see.
